Where to Drink

Where do the rich drink in London?

The bars which we recommend are currently the hottest places to be and to be detected in the capital.

The capital of the United Kingdom is the city with the highest population of multimillionaires and a famous hotspot for the rich and famous. Aside from posturing in front of the cameras, working, and hiding in their luxury mansions, they have private lives just like us. Inevitably, they would like to go somewhere and spend some time outside. London offers a multitude of places where the super-rich gathers and enjoy their companies. If you aim to spot a celebrity it is wise to start discreetly. The bars which we recommend are currently the hottest places to be and to be detected in the capital.

Just to let you know that we are working hard to be accurate in this difficult year, so please check that the establishments remain open before you go.

Mahiki Bar

The first bar on our list is the Mahiki in Mayfair. This is a two-floor Polynesian Paradise Bar with a celebrity and royal following. This club has an elegant Tiki bar-style filled with tropical creations designed to charm and delight. The interior boasts hand-made royal chairs, multicolored Hawaiian cushions, tiki statues, all amplifying the illusion of having arrived at some distant harbor of pleasure. The cocktail menu is beyond comparison and the presentation and the flavors of them are just divine. Try the London Fog Cutter a refreshing twist on this classic Tiki drink. This won't fog your mind, it will refresh your inner soul. Be quenched by the mix of Tanqueray, Goslings, Cognac, elderflower, passion fruit, apple juice, and lemon. The food menu is as exotic with a mix of dishes like calamari with spicy tomato sauce, miniature burgers, steak sandwiches, and duck pancakes. During the night the place is turning in party heaven with DJs playing classics that you can’t help but dance along to. The venue has a big reputation in the London bar scene for its excellence and despite this still manages to create a relaxed fun night out for friends. Book before you go.

Pall Mall 67

The next venue is a club for the rich wine lovers of London called Pall Mall 67. This is a place that you can die inside when you see the wine list. It is a place made from wine lovers for wine lovers with its 6,000 wines from 42 countries is just mind-blowing. The members are served by a huge team of sommeliers, and guests can enjoy more than 800 wines available by the glass. It is a classy club with a jazz program and fortnightly Sunday lunches where members’ children are entertained while their parents take the pleasure of wine seriously. The food has a modern European style, but embracing influences from all over the world presented immaculately with signature style. The good news is that the award-winning wine list has a very low-profit margin and you can find bottles from 40 pounds to the smacking 16,882. At the moment the club has 2,750 members which are enjoying the privilege to be part of the amazing wine world of Pall Mall 67.

Long Bar

The next place where the rich Londoners and celebrities are gathering to have fun is called the Long Bar of the boutique Sanderson Hotel located in the West End. The bar has always been a hot spot for prominent people and loved for its decadent design with a nature theme. The award-winning delectable cocktails are the specialty of the place with some of the best signature ones in the town like the Smokey Robinso made with Lagavulin 16 yrs. old whiskey, Bulleit Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, and Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato. The food menu is made from a wide selection of small plates and bigger bites from the light to the more fulfilling ones. Not to be missed is the Tipsy Evening Tea offering great cocktails as well as all favorite classic sweet and savory food. On the weekends the bar becomes alive with DJs and events bringing the ambiance to the table and each Thursday evening with live music from a Saxophonist and DJ.

Off-Broadway

Our last exquisite recommendation is the Off-Broadway cocktail bar in Hackney which is extraordinarily stylish and frequented by Hollywood celebs. The Off-Broadway bar is modeled on a now-defunct bar in New York’s East Village. You can kind of see what they mean without having been there offering a really cozy atmosphere. The bar is well-known for its flawless cocktails, especially with their signature Godfather Sour made with Amaretto Liquor and Buffalo Trace Bourbon combine to make a sweeter fun version of the classic sour. Of course, there is a mix of notable beers like the Brooklyn on tap, along with several other excellent bottled American imported. Food is not to be missed and it can be described as more on the rustical but tasty style with very favorite classics.

We hope you will like our recommendations and do not forget, grab a friend, dress up, and seize your chances to mingle with some of the richest and most famous people in the world.
